It is however, illegal to use pdf files of copyright protected books. It is also illegal to photocopy/photograph/make videos of them. Under Copyright law, it is illegal to distribute copies of this eTextbook, even if you are not being paid for it. This has happened before, and it is similar to the file sharing music cases. Additionally you could be looking at expulsion if these actions violate their code of conduct.
