How to stop garrys mod from downloading addons

I downloaded an addon pack called Gmod Starter Pack and it had about addons included, The problem is every time i load up the game, it starts downloading the addons, but the over 30mb addons crash the game, and i end up having to repeat this process of starting up the game all the time to get them too load.
